Sales of the smart fortwo have reached record levels as Mercedes-Benz announces its sales figures for the period between January and November.
The smart fortwo has established itself on the market with excellent sales figures with the number of units being delivered to customers in November rising by 61 per cent to 10,200 which is a new record.
In Europe, Mercedes-Benz delivered 67,400 vehicles during November and a total of 712, 500 from January to November.
Worldwide sales were also on the increase with 102,700 passenger vehicles sold in November, topping the 101,900 units sold during the same month last year.
Mercedes-Benz Cars also achieved an all time high by selling 1,168,900 from January to November with 113,000 Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and smart vehicles sold during November.
The new C-Class is also proving a popular choice with customers as 27,600 units were sold during November, over the twice the amount sold in November 2006.
Enthusiasm for the sporty Mercedes-Benz B-Class has also been high with over 300,000 customers purchasing the model since its launch.
