The Mercedes-Benz Cars division has sold 96,600 vehicles world wide during February 2008, an increase of 18 per cent from the figure recorded for the same month last year.
Sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars in Europe were up by 22.4 per cent during February as the firm sold 57,100 vehicles to customers across the continent.
A total of 170,100 customers worldwide chose a Mercedes-Benz during the first two months of the year, an increase of 12 per cent on last year’s figure.
The A-Class and B-Class continued their positive performance by increasing sales by eight per cent to 21,600 units.
Sales of the award winning Mercedes Benz C-Class in Western Europe (excluding Germany) were up by 12 per cent to 26,900 vehicles – a new record for February.
Meanwhile, the smart fortwo has also continued its outstanding display with worldwide deliveries of the car doubling in February to 8,800 units, an increase of 161 per cent.
